Very nice!! Awesome graphics. Pretty dark alot of the time though. I think it may be a good engine for multiplayer games.
I saw a counterstrike game this weekend based upon the early Half-Life 2 engine. Very nice indeed! The graphics weren't as high end as doom3, but smoke effects were really, really good. Blazing speed too!

I thought Doom3 was great. It is a bit dark, but hey- that's the freaky charm that is Doom. It's refreshing to see a game that steps out and essentially makes its own genre. The action/horror combo is excellent and really complements the spectacular gfx. The last action/horror FPS I've seen would probably be AvP or Quake.....Quake was really freaky lol. But Doom3 has something else........it's got a sort of greater impact on the senses taht can only be described as masterful craftsmenship. Excellent.

Aw yea....That would be Doom2.... The last level where monsters spawn arond you and you have to walk up several leves just to get one shot at the wall texture whilst being shot and scratched at... I think instead of buying Doom3, I will buy the Doom Collector's Edition.....heh it's only about 15$ at EB. Considering that Doom3 would end up costing me well over $120 (including RAM upgrades and maybe a new gfx card)....I'll settle for the next best thing. w00t.

I'm not sure, but my son has already finished it. He's had it for maybe 2 weeks or so.

Lol. I have 128 mb ram which is way under the 300 ram mininmum and the demo runs ok...pauses and is choppy at times, but playable a bit. Where to find a good deal on a 512 RAm stick? Any suggestions? Btw the demo is really short and only goes up to the imp and machinegun
