This is the first map where I feature the new textures from the set I made awhile ago (am still working on actually). They were intended to be used with other sets as simple base textures, but they seem to work out just fine for making an entire map too... Anyway, here it is... quake2.abs.net/pub/maps/q2/marics95.zip

thank you I just pulled it down & ran through it & if you dont mind I'm going to load it up into our ffa server & see what the "gang" thinks of it - my 2 bob from 45 seconds glance is I like it, indeed np about that. my negative 2 bob from the same glance is how narrow the hallways are or appear to be ... example - at times in a really cpacity server most if not all of us tend to charge through & slap a rocket down a hallway as we pass it heya ... when they're a bit narrow ... well you really dont wanna be the 1 coming up the other way hehe but having said that - I'm going to load her up & get ppl not bots to frag with & I'll bring some feedback over the next day or so ( if you want, that is .. :/ ) Maric - thanks for the maps bloke I lervs this place all you guys pumpin out the best gear for us map adicts

Hey Maric, This is a really nice map. I love those electric jump-pads and green lasers. Your textures look great, good job on that. Nice weapon/health layout and lots of room to run around. I always like those open top areas that look down on the map. Good for the rail gun.. he he.. Looks like a new env/sky file too. Very nice. Two thumbs up Maric, great job on the map and thanks for posting the link here on the Cafe'. Maybe Wixen1 can use the Awakening 2 version of this one on his server.

As normal Maric does it again - Nice map Bro! Textures do infact look very clean - but your texture alignment is 100% perfect don't know how you get EVERY texture to line up so cleanly ALL the time... The sounds are typical "maric sounds" if you ask me.........and the lay out is "ok" ( Ima not to fond of it BUT who am I )
If I had to "Rate" the map from 1 to 10 I would give it a 9 - Maric you are truely a QuakeII mapping Gawd!
My Favorite Mric maps are 76 & 86 BY FAR THE (2) BEST QuakeII Maps EVER made PERIOD!

Thanks lads, Kold noticed an "OOPS!!!" in this one. He posted a pic over at Backashooters... bdmcnet.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1166The question is do I or don't I ? I am pretty mush of a mind not to bother with it... Can anyone tell that I do not have a perfectionist bone anywhere in my body?

And What Rough Beast all but finished my mapping interests/sanity/will to live... thus the title. I had more troubles with it than I care to remember, one of which (here I contradict what I just said =) was IF I added just one more brush to this one, it would not compile. I think I hit the literal limits with it. That "one less brush" and hint brushes saved me with it all... YAY!

This is a great one, Maric. I really like the visuals and i loved the BFG secret (i always enjoy mountain climbing in your maps but i didnt think it would lead me into such place). The only thingie that doesnt appeal to me are corridors that are a little too long for me, but im aware of how hard is to keep distances short in such complex maps so i don't realy mind that

I know what you mean..... I have a little problem like that in my map leray29, but I don't think anyone ever noticed it (maybe now they will), but I just left it alone. After I finish a map and release it, it's kind of hard to go back into it and fool with it again. I like to move on.
