This is my first ever released mappack. The following pack contains a QuArK explorer file which includes the major leaps I made in my mapping career. The Learning Era Mappack contains the following:
Purgatory: This includes the previously unreleased version of Purgatory that I slaved over, and advertised many times. It's not as cool as other version that I've made, but it's still pretty sweet.
Canyon Oasis: This was my first real good map, in my opinion. It's a remake of the Dark Forces 2 level, "Canyon Oasis" which was one of the best deathmatch maps ever made. This was a final release, and there is a copy of it out there somewhere. Please don't compile this version and put it on your server, I'll provide the official link that I used.
Deviant: This is a small map that I used to expand my knowledge of the QuArK tools. I liked the simple design I made, so I kept it around.
Devine: This map was one of my first major projects after I decided to start taking mapping seriously. It's also one of my favorite looking maps, because it looks sweet. I love it.
Le Ray Contest Maps (1,2,3): These were the start of contest maps that I was working on for Le Ray's Mapping Contest. Unfortunitely, I wasn't inspired enough to finish any of them. I did keep going with one map, however, but it was far to late in the game. That map is not included with this pack, and will be released at a later date.
Battle Arena: This was my test for terrains and a some more curves in QuArK. I loved how this little thing turned out, but it never went anywhere.
Outer Base: This started off as a test for e1u1 textures, and quickly turned into a remake of base1. The catch is that this was the base before the attack. This is another failed Le Ray contest map.
Teleporters: These teleporters were supposed to be used for the Purgatory map, but were never used. I used the Hell Teleporter for vrxdm1 (Point Dot) later on.
All these maps may be used and abused by you. I don't care much about credit, because I don't expect anyone to use these maps as a base, but if you do, good. It's nice that someone would finish these, because they will never be finished by myself.
