uh oh there's trouble brewing ;D LeRay ... nice map man thank you, we have a little cfg running in our ffa server here (12 voteable cfgs) but 1 of them in particluar we call "AllYouCanEat.cfg" is a trip in maps like this that cfg is written up so players spawn with ALL yes ALL weaps no armour some health & hence all the reasons in the world to go absolutely frantic ... maps like this are soo fun

The map looks great, judging by the screenshot. Hope there's a version out soon for us people who can't play in OpenGL mode, i'd love to see this map in action.

Thanks Who? I hope you guys have fun on it, we are having a lot of fun with it here with only 3 players. Lot's of action! Shadowtech, if I have time next week, I'll try to run another version of it for those who don't use opengl.

I downloaded that and gave it a try but it doesn't work on my lowly system. I get an error, "Could not open OpenGL API." oh well, thanks anyhow.

Very nice engine, it still has performance issues on my PC for some reason... Sooooo I am an EGL user all t3h w4y BABY! www.echon.org/This thing has a load of features but for me its the "shiney nickle" stuff that keeps me playing it... -There is a ton of blood when damage is inflicted to enemas (read enemies). -My Railgun trail is a neon-pink spiral with a neon-green center. -The Spikes, Rockets (trails of fire and smoke) and general explosions look awsome. -Lasers, Beams and Shock-Wave/BFG effects are very perrrrty. SEEEEEEE...? Now granted, this does nothing at all to for gameplay but it breaths some visual-freshness into that grand ol' game we love.

I decided to go to Intel's website today and searched around. I discovered that I was lacking a couple critical updates for my graphics driver. Once installed and rebooted... I can now play in OpenGL mode! Oh, happy day! I've only played one map so far, but oh man is it ever freakin' sweet. OpenGL has really breathed new life into the game for me... software mode sure seems even more dull now!
There is one thing I had a question about, though. When I load up OpenGL mode, I get 4 errors in the console. They don't seem to effect the gameplay at all, but maybe someone here can tell me what they mean.
...WGL_EXT_swap_control not found ...GL_EXT_point_parameters not found ...GL_EXT_shared_texture_palette not found ...GL_SGIS_multitexture not found
As I said, the game runs just fine... but I'm curious about these errors. Any ideas? If it's significant or not, I'm currently playing via the Eraser mod.

Shamrock Well... it's a spacemap, so we thought we'd give it a run on a LAN server. 3 players, ordinary DM, no quad/invuln. The screenshots were a bit promising, but once in the map the sheer size and scale are dissapointing. The texturing and lighting is not bad at all, maybe a bit "samey". Don't know what it is with the size, but it just doesn't seem to work, at least not in DM. A bit too open, few spots to hide from a railgun. Item placement was a dissapointment too. In the center area of the map, go down the route towards the tele, grab the RA, MH and BFG and fire at will. Jump down, take your time, do same thing again. It may work in some mod, but this is not the way to put the stuff in a vanilla DM map. Suggestions: - smaller. - no need to put all the weapons and items in there, only put in what is needed for a good fight.. RG, RL, CG, SSG, grenades and a GL would be enough for map like this. - the floating cogs seem out of place, weird looking. If you need a path there, try to make it something more or less logical, believable. - don't be to generous with health/armor near high value weapons. make them harder to get (a simple rocketjump gives you the MH and BFG here without much of a health penalty if you grab the RA first) - rspeeds are a bit high, hitting 1400, 1500's a bit too often - some of the jumppads are iffy... walk on them the wrong way and you get launched only just enough to tumble to your death. the one near the RL is an example of that. - the jumppads would be more fun if they had a more curved trajectory. this is a matter of taste of course. Ah well, enough criticism. Sounds are nice

Demon, Sorry you didn't like the map.
I can say that when I played 1 to 3 players in the map, we had a lot of fun.
But, thanks for checking out the map.
