Wow, haven't played the map yet but the idea of the map breaking apart is cool The only bad thing about it is that it's breaking in a straight line!?

The thing is, that I didn't want to spend much time with it, so what do we do? A symmetric space map, the idiot's final chance ;-) This is why I have cut it into 2 parts, and also moved the parts away in 3 direction, this way people can't say it's boring Yun was the first who realized it, I was afraid that noone will get the joke, I mean the name of the map and the split. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in this contest, You all brought together nice attempts!

The only bad thing about it is that it's breaking in a straight line!? Ahh, hadn't got time for making it more detailed. And even this straight line raised the polycount with more hundreds!!! This is wha it's just a line...

;D Also pretty good what you came up within this short time. Your mapping routine clearly shows. This is a little polygon-jewel floating in space. I didn't get the joke with the cut, but for my excuse: I was too busy to have a long look. Immediately after getting the maps I had to run through them and make a billion screenshots and select the best and upload them and make the final results board. Kept me busy for a while. I really like the look and feel like of this map. A futuristic space map with a retro design. Very cool.

I love the atmosphere. Looking at the screenshots makes me feel like being somewhere between unreal and unreal tournament, but still with q2 testures. And the lights. I love the lighting of the map so much!

I love how simple and elegant this map is. it flows smoothly as you run through it and as long as your footwork is good you wont be swimming in the void too often. I got the joke about the name and thought it was quite cool how you gave it the chop to make it "asymetrical".

Thanks guys your kind comments!
Grieve: as You can see (and read in Maric's opinion) it was truly just my mapping routine. It's nothing special, just a design practice. Anyway, I knew that the result will be something like this, but the biggest thing for me is the great words from the mates! Especially these: "polygon jewel floating in space" and futuristic space map with retro design" ;-) Thanks!
Stah: thanks, too! I'm glad You like the lighting, if You would know how simple it is to create! Again, it's just routine, the map is bad as a "map", maybe it has good elements.
Whirlingdervish[Q2C]: "Simple and elegant". The nicest 2 words for me ;-) If someone know me, he can tell that these are my main goals. I don't remember who said, but he was a big man: "Smart minimalism". Keep it in mind, and You will be a great mapper if once You will understand it totally.
