Hello! What I am asking (Cause I read some do) who makes custom Maps based on what someone wants?? I have an entire Qoole Tutorial on my Youtube Account as many of you have seen. I really tried with dam editor and it crashed and lost my map when I was only on second room. I own EVERY Editor out here and since they are all different. I just CAN'T get an understanding on them. I made a nice map years ago on an editor which name I forgot. I made the map VERY interesting! You would come up to an area that looked the same. However ONLY one door was safe. One dropped you into blackhole. Other dropped you into "Outer Darkness" like in Bible where homosexuals go. The the other let you into the next area. Then you walked into an arena with several LAVA pits and ONE lead into the next MAP section. Other times 'go swimming and had to pass what is NORMALLY fatal in quake to get into next part. Breaking glass under water that appeared to hold lava back. etc My favorite was the "Maze of Walls". You had to smash walls-shoot at higher point. Even had to shoot a sign that warned of drowning. Then it would flood BUT bring you to the top! I have since LONG lost this Quake II map. I was wondering fi i did a design that someone would build on it? Id like to learn back what i forgot and do much of this on my own again. What does everyone think? Any takers or "Builders" for that matter?

Appreciate it... Now I remember while I failed BADLY and lasted only 1 semester at College. Yet- I did great at technical school and even graduated. (There isn't enough faces to show how I &^*^%& Feel right now) This is my parents fault! My father should of breed me with a smarter mother! Anyhow- I downloaded it. Read down 3 pages and got really frustrated. I could NEVER apply TEXT to LIFE. I learn through visual and hearing. I think differently than most do. I recall in Technical School when the teacher would explain a circuit on a board. I soaked all that shit on. However when it came to anything new. IF I am to learn- what your talking about. I am going to have certain questions. If I am going to be told something does something- if i do not know how or why. I expect it to be explained or my mind just isn't going to even absorb it. If only when I opened radiant I was told what each button does. What certain functions do and WHY. I will ace even YOU on your own game. Once I grasp something- I go very far with it. I read Open this- do that. Make your room. Make a door- add textures. Then I may have ONE lousy question. Yet, nobody is there to answer it! I then will keep wondering what the dam answer was. Then -nothing gets done...Like another map I SO desperately want to make!

There are some tutorials for GTKRadiant on YouTube, but its interface is a bit different from QERadiant.
Anway, you can go to Help->Command list to get a list of commands. Radiant is driven more by key/mouse combos than the buttons on the interface.
Just don't go to Help->About on a modern system, or it will crash from a buffer overflow (too long OpenGL extension string). I'd fix this if I could get my hands on the source...
