The map I will submit will be a shit version of what I was planning on submitting. I've been far too busy with work / school / life to really get nice version done. I hope people like my shit

Putting together my "backup" version in case I don't make the deadline with the rest of the stuff I want to do! I could easily spend another week on this working on my silly little details.

Send Backup Version by Midnight! And Get A Slight Extension We want everyone to submit their best work, so here's what you can do to get a little extra time to work on your map. Since you still have a bunch of hours before our midnight deadline, please try to put together a backup copy of your map and send it to me as soon as possible. (It could even be something you've already compiled) If I receive this version before midnight, we'll consider this your safe-point in case something goes wrong. I can than authorize an extension past midnight into the wee hours You'll than have before noon tomorrow to send me an updated copy, but that's it. I absolutely need to have all the maps collected and ready by noon Pacific Time in order to send them off to our judges for rating. (P.S. If you already submitted a map, you can also send me updated copies before this time!)

I might have to send beta version, because while the map was practically done, I have a crippling lighting compile problem that just cropped up I can't seem to resolve at this moment. I've done many compiles before, but this time I'm baffled. going to try a few more times but if I can't resolve it I'll send what I got.

Yes send what you have now, and just continue working on it. Keep in mind you have till tomorrow noon to resolve your compile problems.

Keep in mind you have till tomorrow noon to resolve your compile problems. figured it out, but now I have to restore some things I butchered trying to fix the issue , sigh, I wanted to be done but this issue came out of nowhere. I'll have it done tonight after all. Just let me collect all the map assets and I'll send it, I'll have the fixed version ready shortly afterwards.

Thank you all for submitting your awesome maps We now have 15 mappers, who in total have contributed 20 awesome maps ready for rating. Judging by the volume and quality, this contest is already a big success! You all should be very proud. The maps you've made will soon breathe new life into the Q2 scene and entertain players for a long long time. Since there's still 12 hours to go before our judges even see the maps, we'll now extend the submission for anyone running a little late. I'm about to send email reminders to the other contestants. Hopefully some will still come around and have something ready up their sleeve! I'm also giving the Judges 10 full days to rate your maps with love: so 2 per day. Hopefully come April we'll find out the scores and crown our mapping champion. It's going to be close, so I can't wait for the exciting finale! Stay tuned for that
