Well this reminds me my first maps. If you want to get better, go decompile original levels and see how they are detailed. Let's say base1 map. Also stick with a theme. If you want to do surrealistic maps then thats fine, but try to make them seemless, at least one area at the time. This includes textures out of place. You're using retro futuristic game as a base(which I love really hard). Try to expand that or if you want to make another world, make the new world believeble. I didn't ever finished any official expansions, but lately I tried some wannabe expansions that went nowhere. They ware really lacking in the architecture finish. You could easly tell these ware guys without proper experience and no wonder they didn't get approved by ID etc. In The Reckoning (?) I kinda accepted the first "fishy" levels, but kinda liked the old bunker complex that came afterwards(didn't have time to explore more). It was not that far away with original game theme and you could tell the maps ware made by a different mapper, but it was ok. It was looking older and a different place. Believeble. Yeah I know it may be a harsh comment, but sincere and I think really helpful.
