Hi, I am relatively new to quake 2 mapping and I have encountered an issue on my first big map. After using the merge tool on two brushes, I found that the new faces had their grids misaligned and their textures were warped along these lines. I have tried shift+alt to correct this and while the positions of the textures clearly change on the faces, their distortion is not fixed. If anyone knows how to fix this please comment on this thread. This is an example of what I face (I was making a dome).

The texture alignment axis on a brush surfaces is derived from the plane's normal, so there's little texture-wise you can do. You can either rotate the texture, or rebuild the geometry to have a different normal.
