Does anybody in here have a complete mirror back up of everything that has ever gone on here in the Quake 2 Cafe? Please tell me someone took this upon themselves and did this on a regular schedule.

I do not have anything but there is several programs that let you copy an entire webpage with a few clicks. You could try them.

Thank you for the suggestion, I am aware of these programs. Look for a future post at some point in time in the mapping club regarding mirror back ups of all Q2 history, communities, files, etc (the whole f**kn enchilada) as well as other Q series that have been going on prior to the release of Q3. I am sure a few of you will find it an interesting read. There is a reason why I posted ... I might even keep an eye on leray.proboards.com/thread/3978/opinion-gaming-industry-open-question if that thread ever really takes off.

Ok, now i understand what you are searching of. There is of all Quake 2 maps, if you are interested. You can also check for some websites archived at www.quaddicted.com/webarchive/ (mostly Quake, not much Quake 2). About leray.proboards.com/thread/3978/opinion-gaming-industry-open-question you are better convincing first someone who knows most of the community and can spread the word, as in this community will be the most effective method. To help with that, advertise yourself in all Quake, Quake 2 and Quake 3 sites.

Ok, now i understand what you are searching of. I realize I am not always clear in what I post and it's often choppy, riddled with spelling errors, punctuation errors, grammatical errors etc. Then throw on top of that language barriers etc. I am not always understood and it can be cryptically challenging for anyone reading/interpreting what I have written/am saying. I'm not here to convince anyone or advertise myself, ..maybe drop a few bread crumbs for the intellectually aware. I don't have a problem if no one reads my posts or wants to participate. I'm real good at just remaining quiet. Beyond that, I am here to throw a up a couple of competitions with some very unique challenges, and eventually enter one of them (near the end of the competition cycle) with my own map having used only the resources that are available to me via the online grid. If no one wants to "compete" in the competition once it's announced or if the Quake 2 Cafe would prefer I didn't host a competition under the Quake 2 Cafe flag which I hope will never be the case, my feelings won't be hurt. It doesn't take a keen hackers eye to see "everyone" has their own personal priorities in the online community world. Eventually I will take my bang bang stick and go back to being off the grid, maybe there will be a few coming with me, maybe there won't. It pays to be a winner. I gotta get my ass in the shower now, I don't know about the weather for everyone else this weekend, but I have a nice stretch of sunny warm days coming up. Good time to host another barbecue. Girlfriend also wants to go for a hot air balloon ride, might be a fun way to join the mile high club lol. Have a good weekend everybody. Appreciate the extra team effort cocerello

I wasn't offended by anything you said, cocerello, no need for any apologies / saying sorry. Respect that you took it upon yourself to do so though and I can see where the confusion may have come in. Seriously, you did nothing wrong or said anything wrong. I myself personally respect when people speak up; not enough people do in this world. I may not always agree with points presented, but I am wise enough to always look inward challenging myself to see if I am lacking something which is holding me back from seeing a bigger perspective, someone else's point of view, etc.
