Hey, I had some free time during my vacation and managed to finish a Q2 SP map. A heads up, I did not have any playtesters so there could be issues with things I've missed.. Short info Mines themed SP map Different skill levels Objective is to shutdown a big drill No DM support Hopefully this link works; DownloadIf there are serious issues I can probably fix them if you let me know Cheers!

Nice map, plays very well. I also liked the design of the rooms and corridors. Clear line but with good variety. Especially the areas with rocks looked good. I only noticed one bug while playing:

quite entertaining .... the ambushes were decent, the riddles not too hard, enough health available, nice architecture. one odd thing was the lava floor which did not cause damage .... but why not ?

The lava texture is suppose to be fuel, like you are walking inside a fuel-pipe to one of the silos
I've been tinkering with Q2 all summer, but only managed to finish this map, I like Q2 more than Q1
I just started Forgotten Sepulcher, it's 90% sock's work, he probably spent 1000+ hours on it

And even more than one bug of this type... I just discovered it in a spiral room with a staircase. Sometimes it's worth using hint texture to use it to eliminate graphic artifacts (unless it doesn't bother you too much). Below is a screen showing this problem and a probable place on your game map, marked with a golden circle. Finishing the topic of technical problems, I actually see the potential of you to build maps, inspired by mine theme. A quick and fairly simple map, even on the highest difficulty level, I haven't found anything where logical thinking is required.

Seeing how good this map is, even with its issues.
i hope the unit project map is twice as better.
also the makron alley trap is cruel.

You've done a man's job, sir! I've really enjoyed it. All was great, but IMHO too much shells. Secret with BFG was pretty easy to find. There's Q2 anniversary collaborative project, maybe you'll participate? Do you use discord? discord.gg/XxadPNJQT4

Yes I signed up for Quakeulf's anniversary project to make 1 map for it. I haven't found a solution for the weird graphic bugs (hall of mirrors?)
Use whatever you want from .map file, happy if it helps someone

I finally got around to playing the map after being busy the last few months.
This is a really good piece of work. I like the level of interconnectivity and how it wraps around on itself. It feels like a an actual facility, as all the locked doors end up opening from the other side. Too many Q2 maps lack this revisiting of areas and just constantly lead the player through a string of rooms.
