Was just curious if the site of Quake 2 Scene Builder is still there and looked for it. It is. Also the links are still working. qsb.planetquake.gamespy.com//So if you have time to kill .... This is a nice toy and will make you feel like you are 17 again, doing snazzy fan stuff for your favorite game. And you can do some nice, nearly professional looking stuff in real 3D, based on Quake 2 resources. Ideal for wallpapers. Here are a wallpaper I did back in 2001/2002. I think that much better work can be done with this little program. cuco.dyndns.org/users/grieve/img/Quake/strogg%20forces_wall%2001_C.jpg

the obligatory question .... you can pose Quake 2 models for real 3D scenes using Quake 2 textures. the program also has colored lighting features and can generate basic geometric shapes, so you can build something like a "map" around the models. for what ? all kinds of personalized graphics like wallpapers, signature pics, birthday greetings, backgrounds and pics for your Q2 webpage.... . it just crossed my mind that you could even make an animated movie with it, changing the position of the models frame by frame .... noone did this until now, however. The next best way to create stuff with Quake 2 models would be to convert the md2 models to a common 3D format and use 3D Studio Max or something. To say that this will be slightly more difficult than using Scene Builder would be a ludicrous understatement. Scene Builder is an approved and easy to use community-created tool to make this sort of stuff.
