Or The same surly old grouch but now tumor free! - The surgery I mentioned before was performed this morning and went well. - The results are far better than I had hoped for or was given reason to hope for considering the most recent prognosis. - I hurt like mad but I'm high as a kite so who's complaining? - Ain't I perrrrty? That dinner plate is all for show, it's the latest fashion, when I'm finished with it who should I send it to? edit... - Oh yeah, I may actually be able to hear again when I go back to be hax'd again in 6 months. (can't believe I left that small detail out) - And lastly, I miss the rest of my hair and beard.

Good to hear (no pun intended) your surgery went well. And I hope your hearing gets back to normal soon, its a thing a lot of people take for granted. I can see it in your eyes your quite happy, but sore :-)

Thanks ya'll!
Yeah Kold, it hurt like mad but is getting a little better already. I quit taking the narcotic in the middle of the night, they're just a little too addicting and fun so now I'm relying on plain ol' Extra strength tylo-happy.
I can take the dish-plate off my head in 24 hours, that will bring some welcome relief. It's not the most comfortable sleepy contraption.

Hey Maric, glad to see everything went well and I hope you heal quickly. Thanks for the update and you really look good with that dinner plate, you should keep it. Thanks dude! Sorry, I'm done with the hospital-recovery-garb. That thing was responsible for a but-ton of my pain. As soon as I took it off, my ear stopped throbbing almost immediately. It was crushing my upper 'lobe', imagine wearing super tight headphones for 48 hours on an appendage that was all but cut off and then reattached. There's a nice distinction between my head and neck now too, in that pic the combo of head and neck is so swollen I look like I'm at least 50 pounds heavier. I prefer having a jawline again. My head is still filled with caulk though (feels that way) and the ear still feels like it belongs on someone else...oh well, time heals all. BUT! I'm still very grateful and satisfied with the results. I can detect sound on that side again. And lastly, I can't wait to be able to sleep on my left side again, its funny how 'deprived' my sleep has been due to such a simple constraint.

I had my first post-opp visit with the cruel-cruel nurse today. All is well, at least it is now, after she got done torturing me. I actually felt the need to remind her; "Hey now, don't pull on that so hard...it was just glued back on a week ago!" (I'm still talking about my ear, so stifle it with the dirty minded comments). New map huh? When's the next contest/map-pak/community group input dealio? I need's motivatsheeeeeeon!

You should of just tortured the nurse back with your railgun I would like for there to be some sort of community map-pak. That's coming from someone that never enters any contest or finishes maps ;D Having a theme like you did last time using your texture set would be cool too, its always interesting seeing different mapping styles with the same texture set.

HEY!!! (in stereo it seems) Time for an update... This past Friday I went back in under the knife for the second major procedure on my left ear. - The whole mess was delayed from 7am to 2:30pm DANG THE WAITING SUCKED HARD! - All of the collateral damage issues that happened as result of someone's mistakes during the first surgery were completely avoided this time. I am all but pain free this go'round, no crushed lobe tissue or cartilage...YAY! - I don't have the 'pandemic' head trauma either which means I am able to sleep well...YAY! - The tumor did not make a curtain call so it is gone for good (most likely)...YAY! - There was no need for the surgeon to hack and chop away any more bone or tissue, my internal structures are relatively sound and seemingly will be for the foreseeable...YAY! - Here's the cherry on top, even with two full layers of packing crammed in my ear canal, a cotton ball with goop on it and enough drainage to fill a 2oz shot glass...I am for the first time in 30+ years hearing ambient sound with my left ear...YAY! YAY! YAY! I am part man-o-steal now titanium actually) they put something like this in me... www.bikudo.com/photo_stock/9505.jpgOh yeah, I'm high as a kite too! Yay for legally prescribed happy-happy-joy-joy-narcotics.

Man - that's one hell of an ordeal that you went through. Very happy to see you've made it through! Must be nice to hear in stereo! Now you can tell where those railgun shots are coming from!
Glad to see that the best mapper evar is alive and kickin!
