Just so you guys know, there are 2 ladders to get you out of the water. One leads you up on the incubator platform and the other leads you up to the teleporter platform from the water on the floor. Not sure if you noticed them. If you look closely in the second image, you can see the ladders.
Anyway, thanks for the comments.

Congrats to Maric, very nice map(s)! Congrats to all the other mappers too. I must say, this was a great mapping contest. All the maps look great and it's awesome to see this many new maps released at one time for Q2. Also, thanks to all the judges who participated and a big thanks to X7 who put all of this together for us, great job! Thanks everyone.

I don't know of any other way to remove it from view other than sinking it into the floor. You may have to make your floors thicker?

I always put a box around my map. Then, I make all faces of the inside of that box my sky. Then, I give these faces a light value, which lights my map.

Maric's suggestion worked. I just didn't put the x or y axis and it worked. Thanks for the help guys.

Does anyone know if it's possible to create a rotating brush that is horizontal? I can create vertical rotating brushes, but I tried to create one that was horizontal and I couldn't get it to work. I'm wondering if it can be done? What I mean by horizontal, for example, if you were to create a ceiling fan...this is what I'm having a problem with. I've made many maps with rotating brushes (example:leray34), but they've always been vertical. Easy answer You set the Z-axis for a ceiling fan. Don't set spawnflags 4 or 8. that it. Start On spawnflags:= 1 "Sets the func_rotating to be active when the map loads." Reverse spawnflags:= 2 "The func_rotating Reverses the direction of rotation." X Axis spawnflags:= 4 "The func_rotating will rotate around the X-axis rather than the Z-axis." Y Axis spawnflags:= 8 "The func_rotating will rotate around the Y-axis rather than the Z-axis." Pain on Touch spawnflags:= 16 "The func_rotating will apply its dmg value every 0.1 seconds by simply coming into contact with it - blocking it isn't necessary." Stop spawnflags:= 32 "The func_rotating will stop moving instead of pushing entities." Animated spawnflags:= 64 "The func_rotating will display a sequence of animated textures at the rate of 4 animations/second if an animated texture is applied to it." Animated Fast spawnflags:= 128 "The func_rotating will display a sequence of animated textures at the rate of 10 animations/second if an animated texture is applied to it." X7 X7, thanks for the help, I will give this a try if Maric's suggestion doesn't work.

I've made many maps with rotating brushes (example:leray34), but they've always been vertical. Assuming that you're still using the Wolrd's A#1 boootay-kicking editor Tread 1.12 and I understand exactly what you're describing...all's you need to do is as follows... 1 - Gimme and email addy and I'll send you an example .map/.trd 2 - Make your brush/group, then place an origin brush through the middle of it along the axis you'd like it to rotate about (you can use the orange origin texture or any other as long as you tag all surfaces as origin. Hold Ctrl+Shift which selects ALL surfaces and check dat box yo!), then right click on it, link it to "rotating brush", choose "start on" and DO NOT select x or y axis for horizontal rotation. If I didn't understand what you were saying simply experiment with selecting either x or y. Hope'n dat helps bro! Maric, yes indeed...still using Tread Tread 1.12 from some guy named Shon . I think my problem was that I did select the x and y axis. I'll give that a try and see what happens. I would like to see the example. My addy is quake2leray at hotmail dot com. Thanks for the help!

X7, sorry I didn't make myself clear. I mean, how do you get a list of sounds that you've already added to a map? I added some custom sounds and I need a list so I can include them in my zip file. Thanks for the info above!

Is there any way to get a list of the sounds that you've used when creating a map? I looked on my "imagelist" but didn't see them listed there?
