NO, not if you are making a vanilla Deathmatch Map.
You should use the func_rotating make the brush look like a rotating light.
An place the light entity with the color = 1 0 0 RED, set the style to one of the Flicker variety, Candle variety or Strobe's.

It looks like a vis error..
See where the tris lines are, that will give you a better idea of what the error is.
here this is how to turn on the tris lines
type in console: gl_ext_multitexture 0 hit enter vid_restart hit enter gl_showtris 1
I use this alias with the R1Q2 Client

Lets say that I wanted to put a viper sideways in a window, could I make a vindow viper? Yes use the angles "0 0 0" Specifies a facing direction in 3 dimensions, defined by pitch, yaw, and roll. (Default=0 0 0). X7

Yes
Use the misc_bigviper
This is a large stationary viper as seen in Paul's intro.
You can also use the misc_viper or the misc_strogg_ship
These need to be trigger, and uses path_corner's Set the wait -1 on the path_corner to hold the ship in place.

u only need 4 others they can connect 2 times, that will give u 8 + your self Skies 2X4+1 = 9 X7

Sound like you have a leak/hole in your map. Build the QBSP (.bsp file creation), Look at the console and see if it said: !-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-!!-! Build failed, because it did not create the (+PRT) file: F:\Quake1\tmpQuArK\.\maps\newmap.PRT
or if using TxQBSP 1.13 -- Modified by Bengt Jardrup: WARNING: Reached occupant at (-256 -192 96), light Simplifying ... Leak file written to maps/newmap.ptsX7

Sure, I got my own server in Germany. It already has 3 maps, I'll upload the others in the next few hours. To play there, just connect airrocket.net. spirit your server does not have a map roatation. Add this to your server.cfg... set sv_maplist "spirit2dm4 marics108 monster10 shizz1 leray35 tsh2dm1 henneck2dm1 yggdrasil pwpipes1 macdmponder" Thanks X7
