I stretched the textures. you can check a sample Ive made called metalic effect. the look of the site dosnt matter its his functionality that counts. cheers

Hello Ive made a website for quark editing with samples and snapshots Its not fancy looking and very underconstraction. I dont know what are you talking all about. quark is the best editor! and ive checked them all! its NoT! slow all the buttons are recomendations not obligations (in other words you may choose not to use them) its really easy to make a new map all the axises are just fine. its just that people that are used to something find it hard to get used to something else.

im about to make a personal website which a large part of it will be on mapping.
I want to work with data base and put a forum like this i will put samples of quark files for each example a snap shot and a compiled sample map and offcourse my own maps of quake 2 and soon quake 4 as well
if any one can advice me or help me on how to make a dynamic data base web site i would be glad to hear.
also i wanted to ask is it possible to make an addon for quake 2 that while playing online insted of downloading the map from the server you get linked to a fixed website that includes all the maps that will be uploaded by mappers so you get fast download insted of poor 4kbs?

One of my dreams since quake 2 is to make my own shooter. im not totally pleased with any of the games today on the market. each one has something missing. some new excitement and uniqueness is what i wish for. with all the graphic power and CPU power everything still looks the same for first person shooters. no body makes new things or new excitements. many compromise on skills and make average games. quake 2 is one of the only games that you need hours to practice on one type of jump for example let me give you one or two ideas i had I like the double jump of unreal and the movement of quake 2 in some way to join them together sounds to me ultimate. another idea was to use two mice when on the left hand u got a special big mouse with keys like W A S D for movement so you can rotate the head and the gun separately well that’s just two ideas in brief and its the tip of the ice for me maybe one day it will come that ill be able to make my own games regards hardcoal

ok mate ive allready made a map with floating stuff and also bouncing in mid air like quake 3 what you is you put the entitie inside the gravity function that is set to zero then put a function wall benith the entities that goes out when the map starts and i promiss you it will remain floating. sorry that i didnt tell it right before good luck mapper!
