Uurgs you mean Jägermeister do you? Thats really really crappy stuff in my opinion. Can hardly drink it whithout having to puke any second. I prefer a good guiness and some nice whisky with it. Or some nice austrian or german beer. Too bad you can`t mail `em then I would gladly send you guys some. Your turn Mr. Gates. Invent something to get it done and perhaps I even see over that you invented Windoh`s.

This one sounds good. I don`t have VS and don`t know anything about compiling a source. Could anyone of yo be so kind and upload a compiled version of this ? I would really like to try it out. Thx in advance

At least custom maps should work by copying them into the baseq2 folder. Mod support will need some coding I think so too.

Tried Quake 2, it works perfectly in SP, can' t tell for MP right now. Its a bit dark but I think I` ll get that fixed via console commands. Quake 1 didnt work right now, but I think I did something wrong in setup so I`ll be correcting that and it`ll work too. All in all a nice thing playing Q2 on the Wii. I can`t tell if it has mod support but I will look into it further.

I was looking around the web for interesting stuff for Quake 2 and I stumbled over this project: code.google.com/p/qrevpak/Its Q1 and Q2 for the WII-console and even provides mission pack support. I haven`t tested it yet but it sounds promising to me. I`ll keep you updated when I tried it out. Maybe its interesting for you guys. I think its a nice piece of work on the first look. Everything else, we will see.

Tried it and I simply like that tool.s Its really easy to use and gives new life to old maps one likes to play but get a bit bored to look at the same textures over and over again. Great work ! Thank for the effort you must have put into making this.

Not that I know of, because player start doesn`t appear in DM. There are flags for entities when they do /not appear. Maybe that does the trick. But it could make problem that the monsters shoot at the players. But I am no experienced mapper and never tried this out. So perhaps just take a look at those flags and give it a try.

Thanks for your tips, I guess I have to learn much more. I was thinking those textures were standard ones. I think I will just delete that link, before anyone puts it on the list. :-)) or ruins his eyes ;-) . Thanks again for telling me, I`ll archive it for myself. Edit: thank for the program, it will be of great help in the future. I owe you guys a beer for shocking you ;-)

I am not exactly sure, but perhaps you need to set a flag for it to appear in DM. I think they normally wouldnt spawn, so there might be a flag set for them not to spawn in DM. I have never tried that and am not very experienced in mapping so I am not sure. But take a look in it, hope it helps.

I have noticed that many of the contest maps cannot be downloaded anymore. Could someone please upload them again (links will do it also) ?? I would like to play them all and I think that the hard work and efforts deserve to be preserved and spread as much as possible. Thanks in advance

I usually used Qoole as it is quite easy to use but I changed to Jackhammer 1.0 . It is still an alpha, but very stable and nice to use. You can get it at moddb.com Dont have the link right now, just use Google, its easy to find. I like that editor very much, the allignment of brushes to the grid is very precise, that what Qoole lacks imo. It has more features to come, I cant wait for the next release. Try it, you will like it.

Count me in if you are still willing to hold a speed mapping contest. I think 3 or 4 times a year should be a good number to keep people interested.
