in kmquake2 everything looks a bit darker, but no, the lighting or gugg_ctf1 seems ok for me. gonna give jaildm a go with bots ....

pretty nasty, that cabinet with the armour. at least the player should die faster when he is trapped there. and all that for a lousy armour ? how about putting a BFG in there ?
of course not too much ammo for it ....

and switches outside, so that people can lock you in - like in a certain Unreal Tournament map.

It would be so convinient to organize map database, so you can easily sort them. Probably there are some ready-made DB engines?

IMO, the most successful part is a shotgun room (with lift) and adjacent corridor. At the moment I'm looking for a suitable style for "red armor" courtyard which should look OK in Quake 2: At first I used brick texture, but then remembered that courtyard from BASE3 and decided to try. There was a similar location in Citadel too: What do you think, what's better? Brick or grate?
