Maric, I've always wondered why you didn't map for q3, q4, or just other games than q2, but I think I know why! It's the challange Nice curves, you rule, keep on mapping you mapping maniac

someone explain me the point in mapping for Q3. about Q4 : I heard nobody saying "Q4 has changed my life". all I heard everywhere: "mmm ... it's okay ... not that bad. will maybe play it a while ... mhmm." do you think Q4 could ever turn into a lifestyle for somone, like Q2 does for all of us weirdos here ? some masterful brushwork there, m. handcrafted ?

Sounds like we are a cult Well for me q2 mapping is a hobby, playing the game is entertainment, q4 has been a great entertainment for me (as well the cause for lack of sleep) and I hope I'll enjoy mapping for q4 as much as I've enjoyed mapping for q2. What I'm saying is, even if the game isn't as good as your favourate game, doesn't mean you should ignore it. Variety is good! *edit* videogames shouldn't change your life, people should!

Wixen/Paril/Sabotuer... Thank you. Sabotuer... I did make a few maps for Q3, I don't like the whole "high-res" texture thing. For some reason it does not appeal to me visually. I dislike everything about the Doom3/Quake4 engine. It's all chugs and bugs even on a decent PC. I find that the UT game engines are much more interesting. Q2 is still A-#1-quickie-quickie-good-time-fun game for me. Grieve... All by hand, one brush at a time. Progs like Nems are too inaccurate and rough. A little further along (read - finished... the R's are pretty maxed out) and close to the final look for a "beta" map. It sure is fun just to run around in, the upper ramps and rail are just for kicks, with the "slick" flag you can't get a nice grind on it.

You still didn't answer my question I asked in my first post, m - Before I make anything final I will eliminate all surface props aside fro Argh specific _chop_curve stuff. - About joining the team... let me mull over that, life is a little crazy atm. If nothing else I'll be a content contributer on a semi-regular basis. - What follows is a picture of the .map file I'll make available. It's a parts-is-parts thing. You can build the map pictured about with these pieces with little more than copy-n-paste. The side views are incomprehensible so I didn't bother posting them...

Alright. it's up to you. Hehehe. Alright, good job though, on the big skate thingy.. looks like one of my old THPS2 parks I like street maps better, In my opinion..

By the way M.. make sure that they go up high enough, if the angle of the last part of the QP isn't 90 degrees, he'll fly out of it and not up it
