Nice pics. That map looks to have a real high quality old-school feel to it and that's a very good thing.
I'm looking forward to spending time in it.

Howdy ya'll,
This work (engine/maps/models) is so exciting and cool. I hope to get time, sometime in the not so distant future to dig in and contribute again.
I could post a litany of why I've been absent so much but suffice it to say, I miss the gang here and the community that's formed and remained around this dusty old game. Q2 is still far and away my favorite, bar none.

Congrats m Cool to know a writer, never did that before. Yes, I remember that trailer from some time ago, did you record it yourself? -W1 Yeah. I made it from frame to frame. I learned a lot in the process and will try and play around with something better. I'm an old dog, those new tricks come hard these days. And btw, how are you doing? Feeling any better?

that's great, m ! what is it about, an utopistic novel ? & you're right about Q2, it still rocks, although it causes some troubles under win 7. Thanks! And I sort of went a different direction than what seems to be popular theses days. It's not dark and fill with angst. There are no vampires, zombies, werewolves or love triangles. It's an adventure that centers on dragonflies, it's targeted for young adult (that category usually encompasses readers between the ages of 12 and 25, or near about). The messages in the story are generally if not entirely positive. I have a Win7 laptop that runs it smoothly, I don't know why it works for me though.

Long time, no speak eh? I'm about to be an honest to goodness, published writer . So, I figured I'd better let my old gaming pals know where I've been and what I've been doing. It's been so quiet around here but I do stop in a few times a week to see what's going on. Anyway, here's a link to my publisher. My upcoming release is featured front and center with an announcement trailer I made a bit ago and recently updated. Let me know what you think. www.oldlinepublishing.com/And Q2 still rocks. Any news on new maps floating around out there? I still have the small, limited brush (I think it's under 200) map finished and ready for the big-time.

Can the world survive a Bob-n-Neal reunion? Is this what the Mayans warned us about? Should I stockpile basic living and survival essentials? ...the breathless hush of anxiety filled expectation is too much to bear! We should lieve the country.. -W1 Yeah man! I'm tired of people.

It seems that our pal has moved on from here. The latest reports are of sightings over 20 miles away.
It was a very cool experience but I'm not sorry he's moved on. We tend to move about in the dark a lot...don't need to accidentally corner an angry bear.
The timing for us was perfect though, he was around for about 12 hours and at the right time for us to get the pics and vids.

Very sorry to hear about the dark cloud possibly coming back. I'm praying for ya m8! Right on brutha! He heard ya'. I don't have an active tumor right now, though I most likely will in time. BUT, the great news is that I won't be facing another horrible surgery for the foreseeable...phew! I have a disease that likes to create tumors in my ear/head. I can still hear just fine with my hearing aide (dang I'm old and busted...arthritis, hearing aid, reading glass and grumpy all the time) so all is well for now. I go back in in two months, could be good, could be bad news. My doctor/surgeon is one heck of a technician but a terrible human being towards his patients. I've come to understand that he treats most of his patients like garbage. I'll be moving on to another, if all is well after this round.

Phew busy busy working, try to free up time, couple hours in weekendz. Margaal 20 ( 199 brush limit ) 1x1 player - Q1 textures. Regards Looks nice! I have one of these too. It's just sitting, collecting dust. I made it right after this thread was started. I'd toss it in a pile if this idea moves forward...and maybe take a break from life and throw together one or two more. I like the limitations.

About the best I could ever do on your maps is just give them an alternative feel, rather than improve on them since they're already so well made! Will be fascinating to see what you choose to do Maric! Thanks! And have at 'em. I don't care if they're used or altered as long as they get a new name iteration to avoid version conflicts. Actually, I'd be curious to see what is done with any of them. So, if there's any "altered" versions available I'd love to see 'em.
