You can jump onto the DM2 server any time, the maps are already up and in the rotation.
The actual splatterfest event is going to be sunday night at 8:00pm EST.
It may be a good idea to have another event for the European crowd. Anyone got influence over a European server that you can get the maps added to a rotation?

Just so you guys know, there are 2 ladders to get you out of the water. One leads you up on the incubator platform and the other leads you up to the teleporter platform from the water on the floor. Not sure if you noticed them. Anyway, thanks for the comments. LOL I didn't notice them either. But i don't think that the ramp jumps off the pillars are all that hard to find or execute.

At first glance I think that this one is going to have better gameplay than Marics and Monsters. Can't wait to get a game together on it!

Thanks for the judging guys, I appreciate it As a note: - I'm a programmer, I have no sense of color coordination. - I play with my sounds off so it completely slipped my mind - The overall theme was very tall aliens that are cared for by humans. Hence the small kitchen and the giant fridges. (also the tall bunk beds that have walkways for humans that the aliens wouldn't need) - The split in theme was due to half of it being created 3 or more years ago and the rest now. - The crappy texturing was due to time and brush constraints. You'll see that the room I started on, the sewer, is 100% textured while the last room I worked on, the BFG room, is untextured as untextured gets. In order to texture the halls properly I would have tripled the current brush count, which is already astronomical. (However i surprised myself at how well i was able to hide large rooms from seeing other large rooms keeping the rspeeds down) - The scarcity of items in some locations was due to the limit of entities on a single map. I was at the point where a map without full QVIS would no longer display items. I'm probably around 160 items in the map. Above 256 crashes maps, so I cut short to avoid that. Anyway that's my story, I'm just happy to finally finish it. It was a lot of fun to make, and that's what matters (P.S., X7, did you use gl_modulate 1000000 in those screenies? LOL)

You can replace the view models that you see in your hud as well with some kind of client command. I'm sure that allowing items to have their models overridden is probably debug related. It would be an easy way to test models in the game if the programming for spawning that item doesn't exist yet.
As for trying to replace the model for a deathmatch spawn pad, even if you could, it wouldn't change the bounding box. The only way to hide the bounding is to sink it into the floor.
However there is another weird issue. Once released, you'll notice in my contest map an instance where I set a deathmatch spawn pad inside of a slight divit in the ground to run flush with the ground on both sides. The purpose was to walk from left to right of that platform without stepping down so that a spawning player can quickly strafe left and right to get his items.
For some reason even though spawn pad is at the right height and is literally flush with both surfaces, the player experiences a little bit of glitching passing from the spawn pad to the solid surface. Sometimes ducking or jumping is required to move back and forth. So no matter what you do to hide or take advantage of that bounding box, it still can cause trouble.

I would support both Le Ray entering Le Ray 35 and even the votes being rigged so that he automatically wins, just for the chance to get to play on it.
